Have You Been Carded Lately

I have been busy busy lately working on lots and lots of stuff. Card making is my trade into the whole scrapbooking craze, so I have a hard time not doing cards for family & friends. As you can plainly see this is what I have been doing a lot of: cards for birthdays, cards for babies & anniversaries, and cards for going away. It's good to have some simpler things to do, rather than always having that big project or album to do.

Lately I have really been enjoying the cut-out in a card. On the one above I used my circle punch and then added a second smaller circle punch to add to the middle of the bigger cut-out.

{a birthday card for my mom's husband}

In this card I did a punch out but smaller so that I could add lots of detail to the rest of the front.

{my mom's birthday card}

This is one I did with a square punch and then hung the butterfly in the middle, I really really like how this one turned out.

{my in-laws' anniversary card}

On this one I used a label clear stamp and then embossed it so that it would stand out, then inside of the label I used plain white letter stickers to spell out the name and then distressed them so that they would flow with the feel of the card a bit better.

{a birthday card for my aunt}

Here I was just playing around with my new butterfly punches, I have two of them and I am really liking how they add such a simple flair.

{a birthday card for my sister-in-law}

Again here I was just playing around with some left overs and those cute butterfly punches, I like how I was able to combine the old with the new.

{a birthday card to my best friend's husband}

One this card I did a 3 window punch with my smaller square punch and then used an even smaller punch to spell out the word "YOU" and hang each of those squares in the window, this turned out to be just plain fun, once I did all the measuring.

{a congrats card to a friend of mine}

A friend of mine is having her 1st baby { a boy due in October} so this is the card I made for her & her husband, I liked it so much...

{another congrats card to a friend of mine}

I copied it for a friend of mine at work who had her 1st grand baby {another boy} so I hope they each liked them.
Well this is all that I have for today, hope you all enjoy your weekend & hopefully some great fall weather.
thanks, just B
