My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas

Hello Hello
How is everyone?
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
We had a white weekend, the snow didn't collect, which I'm grateful for, but still...we had some and some is sometimes worse when it comes to driving.
My drive into to work this morning wasn't pleasant, I'm about 30 minutes away in normal conditions, on days like today it takes me all of an hour if I'm lucky.
Anyhow I made it safe forth and then back again so all is well.
As for today I had one other mini I wanted to share with you. This one is a Christmas toilet paper roll mini that was sold in my Esty shop several weeks back but again I am hoping to inspire if any of you are struggling for some inspiration.
Not sure sometimes what exactly 'inspires' me, but for sure watching others and seeing what they do is certainly helpful. It can at times be the 'ah ha' moment that you needed to move to the next step or the missing piece to the puzzle that's been nagging you for days. Either way I love that those of us that 'scrap' share, and then that way I can return the favor and 'share' with you.
As I mentioned this is a toilet paper roll mini book, but boy does it have a big heart.
I've included more than I thought that I'd ever be able to get away with. It's got journal spots, mini photo spots perfect for some Instagram pics, more journal tags, and then some cute ephemera pieces to warm it up.
I think also that the paper collections we choose make a huge statement in the overall feel of a mini book, for instance I don't think that this would have been the best mini for a bright pattern paper with some of the more flamboyant colors, not with the Kraft color of the tubes being so dominant even though they are in the back ground.
For me these are all the things that I think about. Not just creating a cute little book but really what is going to work together to make an extra special piece. I want size, colors, and added embellishments to compliment each other and to stand up with one another.
For the most part I think that I accomplish this a majority of the time, and then other times I fail miserably at it. You know what?
It's okay!
Same goes for you, you are not going to hit a home run every time you sit down to scrap
- or up to bat
(and if you DO??? what's your secret???)
but the key is to keep going, to keep learning and creating, because just maybe...just maybe
TODAY IS THE DAY!!!
So that's your challenge, go create something that you've seen elsewhere, something that you don't normally do or do but only just started and practice it. Work with it until you feel it become apart of you, if you really just can't make it work for you, try something else. The goal is to slowly add in ideas to your flow that may eventually shape your flow and in the process help you to grow.
So be what this may, I didn't cover a whole lot about the actual mini book but you know that if you have any questions at all please feel free to comment me and I will get back with you as soon as I can.
I wish you all a great week and be safe for those of you dealing with Old Man Winter.
Thanks for stopping by!
