Just a quick share

I made this little gem several years ago for my mom, a mini inspirational birthday match book with several pages that speak her language. 

I used a Tim Holtz mixed media die to create the cover, then added a mix of paper flowers and a few butterflies

Made the cover with a wish theme since it was for her birthday, used a Tim Holtz stamp there with a gold embossing powder

On the top spine I added a gold foil 'Happy Birthday' sticker which gives it a bit of a shine

First page has a few cups stacked up and there is no doubt when we are together that we'll have a few cups of coffee. On this one I used two Tim Holtz dies and then added the stamped quote to go with it

On this page I have created a tiny window with the word 'thankful' stamped along the bottom, to symbolize that being with her always feels like home

Here I've added the typewriter and a Graphic 45 stamp that says, 'write your story', my mom happens to be a fantastic writer, probably something she could have done professionally but never did. I wanted to remind her that it's okay to do what you love at any age

This page is just an encouragement to let go and let your imagination soar, you never know what might be until you try

Final page is a coffee cup with a monogram and then a stamped sentiment. Off to the side I added a metal charm the says, 'Happy Birthday', all in all a cute little piece to celebrate a birthday. Hope this inspires some of you to make something as well, whether for yourself or someone you love to celebrate a birthday or even an anniversary. This idea would also be great for a graduate, you could recognize their high school and then acknowledge their college of choice and then maybe hint to their major along with a couple of inspiring quotes, that would be something special I think.
